Power drawbar for a mill., 06:57 AM. I want to install a power drawbar on my mill. This CNC thing has got me doing a lot more "stuff" on my mill and now changing tools is the most tedious part of the job. I don't want an automatic tool changer on this mill. Maybe in the near future I will buy a "real" CNC mill.

The first valve needs to be open center, 3/2. This will control your cylinder. The second valve can also be 3/2 open center, but you need to put a plug in 1 exhaust port. When you flip the valve for the cylinder to go down and the motor to run, the air from the op side of cylinder is exhausted through the open center.

Take a look at my DIY power drawbar for the PM 940 CNC VS. I already had a Milwaukee right angle impact tool which I used for the drawbar. I can get quite a few tool changes on a single charge. There are two speeds and I only use the slow speed for now. This is my first prototype for this drawbar. It seems to be working just fine.
